T-396-M yearly maintenance of remote power site and control systems at infrasound site IS55US run by the University of Alaska, Fairbanks (2004-2005 and 2008-2009 season).

Project Description:
This project operates, maintains, upgrades, calibrates, and services the joint U.S. Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) station at Windless Bight, Antarctica. Windless Bight is unique for its very low wind levels, which makes infrasound detection possible. Infrasound can be used to detect volcano eruptions, winds over distant mountain ranges, large storms at sea, earthquakes, avalanches, and human-caused events.
